I think in 2011 the social networking sites will take major roles from making friendship to marketing.
The last I checked, my crystal ball had a huge crack in it, so no predictions from me. The one thing I bet my all on is change, and what we see today is an expiring version of what we will see tomorrow.

It is already given that we are living in a world of change. And we know for a fact that it is always for the better if used properly. I guess 2011 will be a big bang for promoting websites since social media will be a good tool in building links.
