Mobile Search Presents Many Challenges

We now use our mobile phones to download and listen to music, download and view video clips, take and send photographs, read and forward business documents... so what is the deal with mobile search? Mobile search should be evolving as handheld devices, including cell phones, become more sophisticated. Mobile search must return results with answers, not links.

Our preferences may be determined by device, subscriptions, past search history, location, demographics and search engine ranking algorithms. Within a streamlined search interface that may include shortcut keys, automatic completion of search terms, or even voice recognition systems to simplify the search experience, the results should be personalized and relevant.

No more clicks, no more surfing the WAP, as our mobile minutes run out like sands from an hour glass. Sounds good to you?
