Virtual Worlds News: Are Marketers Pulling Out of Second Life?
It's just too risky to set up a building that might be defaced, blown up, or picketed by flying penises. It may be hard to convince users to stop in and check out the marketers' sites, but it might be even harder to convince them to leave them alone . . .

That's kind of why I stopped playing Sims: how exciting can it be to spend a "Sim life" peeing, bathing, going to work and cleaning house when that's precisely what I do in my First Life.
Second life will become one more advertizing space if owners allow it and they will as we can see. Just another trendy way to make money online.
