Prayer for my time on the computer
Gracious God,
even in the wondrous tangle of wires and connections,
you make yourself known.
May my computer be more than a machine of information
and become an altar on which I am able to offer my thanks
for the abundance of gifts in this richly textured world.
As I scan through images, as I learn and explore,
as I create and produce, bring my soul to the awareness that
I am not alone in this vast world of human energy.
Fill me with that energy and give me a heart of gratitude.
Amen

A blessing for computers?
Interesting indeed :D
Your thoughts, the image, and the prayer are wonderful.
I have a friend who speculates that blogs create for us the opportunity to be our best selves to the rest of the world. We can express ourselves thoughtfully after reflection and connect in meaningful ways because interaction is stripped of the stresses of looking a certain way, being in a certain place, spending money, etc. I think he has a fair point.
Blog Your Blessings and your post speak to his point wonderfully. God bless!
They are perhaps the greatest blessing we have over health food and shelter. I am lost without mine.
Happy BYB Sunday and have a good week.
As a professional technician, the concept of the "mixed blessing" could be seen here... more often than not to me, I only see the "downside"... the broken, the misused, and the complaints from end-users... but realistically, I know in my heart that computer are a blessing...
...even when I've been hip-deep in troubles because of them. :)
I agree that computers are a blessing! BUT I still miss those letters in the US Postal service --probably because I had 40 pen pals when I was growing up and as an adult wrote often to others too.
Come and read about my blessing.
Computers are a blessing indeed!
One can do almost anything on computer these days.
