Year of the Search Engine

Seems like 2008 will be the year of the search engine. Today, all of the blog posts I have read are about optimizing everything from PDFs to videos to text links to site maps. The following article on SearchNewz on how to Sculpt Your SERP Description is worthwhile.

In other words, to a certain degree you can sculpt how the search engines describe your page. All it takes is good a meta description, a good opening sentence with quality on-page content and some simple instructions to the spiders.
