She Who Heals
Mother, sing me a song
That will ease my pain,
Mend broken bones,
Bring wholeness again.
Catch my babies
When they are born,
Sing my death song,
Teach me how to mourn.
Show me the Medicine
Of the healing herbs,
The value of spirit,
The way I can serve.
Mother, heal my heart
So that I can see
The gifts of yours
That can live through me.

Lovely poem, yes it is the mother who cure and Heals and when she sings you a song with affection you forget all your worries. It is the real gift that can live through us. Blessed are those who have their mothers.
Thanks for being the perfect medicine for today. I hope you are feeling well and that your family enjoyed a peaceful holiday.
Thank you for sharing this lovely image and poetic prayer this week. I'm grateful to find you again and apologize for not visiting recently even though you've kindly visited & commented on my BYBS posts at Sacred Ruminations. Clicking on your 'link' brought me to a Blogger Profile that informed me a link isn't available. This time I've added you to my 'reader' so I don't lose track again.
Hugs and blessings,
Just beautiful!! Thank you so much for sharing this.
Trying again. I was here early this morning BUT blogger wouldn't post what I had to say. Kept getting a little box that said "do you really want to move away-- you have unsaved changes." Now that is appropriate when I am writing the blog post but not when I am commenting on someone elses. Hope this goes through this time.
Very nice poem and photo to go with it. I am trusting that you are feeling a bit better and will soon be great. Drop by if you find the time.
Kanienkehaka! Always a wonderful prayer... excellent choice...
You always post such lovely uplifting messages, and images :) Thank you, and you are in my thoughts, and prayers too! :)
What a lovely prayer. I printed it out so I can use it in one of my scrapbooking projects. As soon as I started reading it I thought it would be perfect for a layout I had set aside waiting to find just the right journaling for it. Thanks for sharing and I hope your week is filled with many blessings.
