Blog Your Blessing : Clean Water

Can we afford clean water?

Can we afford rivers and lakes
and streams and oceans
which continue
to make possible life on this planet?

Can we afford life itself?

Those questions were never asked as we
destroyed the waters of our nation,

and they deserve no answers as
we finally move to restore and renew them.

These questions answer themselves.

Senator Ed Muskie of Maine
arguing for the passage of the Clean Water Act in 1972,
1972 Legislative History, pp 161, 162 and 164

We are blessed to have clean water in our area. Some are not so lucky.

Happy Sunday and blessings.

Thank you for always passing by my blog even though I don't have a BYBS entry to share on some Sundays.

I remember as a child drinking from rivers when camping. . . no more, sad to say. Maybe one day again.

We are also blessed to have a clean water and hoping that we can protect our clean waters for generations to come. Water is very important in daily living if water gets contaminated in will be a disaster for the future generation.

I love sunset shots. This one is spectacular.
I worry about our water supply...cleanliness and lack of it.
