Blog Your Blessings : Growing Older

CyberCelt 50+ Years Old

I have learned that:
  • you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is stalk them and hope they panic and give in.

  • one good turn gets most of the blankets.

  • you should not compare yourself to others. They are more screwed up than you think.

  • depression is merely anger without enthusiasm.

  • age is a very high price to pay for maturity.

  • I do not suffer from insanity; I enjoy it.

  • we are responsible for what we do, unless we are celebrities.

  • artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity.

  • 99 percent of the time when something is not working, one of your kids did it.

  • there is a fine line between genius and insanity.

  • the people you care most about in life are taken from you too soon and the less important ones just never go away.

I am still laughing about the "one good turn getting all the blankets!!!!!!!!!" That was my favorite! 50 is not OLD. . . I got my first full time teaching job when I was 50. Now I am a wee bit older! Ü

Forgot to say, Happy Birthday!

Many happy returns to the day of thy birth.
May sunshine and gladness be given.
May God in His mercy prepare you on earth
For a beautiful birthday in heaven.
