Stubblefield Lake is an oxbow lake that was separated from Lake Conroe by the wanderings of the West Fork of the San Jacinto River. It is quiet and peaceful, just as it is unexpected only miles away from the Stubblefield oil field.

When I look at this picture, it seems like the like is full of life --- lilypads, surrounded by trees, etc. AT the same time it appears peaceful.
