A Quick Update from CyberCelt

We finally made it to Florida. We started the day after Christmas and arrived on January 6. We drove through Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and down through the panhandle of Florida. At best, I had sporadic Internet access for weeks. You know what? YOU can live without Internet. It is actually relaxing.

We are now in Crystal River, Florida. We remain here until the first of February and then we work our way back to Texas. This blog will not see much action, but know this: I am living my dream of swimming with the Manatees.

If you want to keep up with us, check out Texas RV Travel blog for details. I should be posting pictures and information this week.

May 2010 be your year for fulfilling your dreams.

Namaste,

CyberCelt

You're right, we can live without and should take a break from technology. Internet is great but there needs to be limits or it sucks our life!

Enjoy your break!

Did you get any tickets driving through those southern states? I have heard horror stories about people driving through Louisiana and having their car searched and everything. Usually people on their vacations too.

So you are still enjoying by being close to nature :) good and a really better way of having a party out there. Not among the loud music and drinks etc but with the morning birds and the fresh morning breeze and nature which is always at its best.
Internet or technology is in fact not needed when you are on such vacations.I second you on this. What is the need to have all this when one wants to calm down with the timeless time ticking by :)

I would like to have exiting trips like you but I 've worked for my job 6 days a week. I always spend my holiday (Sunday) with my family and sometimes with my friends. I hope you enjoy swimming with the manatees. Have a good day.

Though it is a tough task to live without the technology but if we look at our ancestors when they did not have the technology, we may get some confidence to tackle the hard situation which we would have to face without the technology.

Well, we're a little past the middle of February so you ought to either be about home about now...or you've had so much fun with those Manatees you've decided to set up camp and stay a while.

Although, I also clicked on your RV Texas link think and see you've been doing a bit of "moving around" there, too. Great pics documentary.

Trip sounds fantastic...especially in this cold, cold winter most of us have seemed to have found ourselves in.

I grew up surfing in South Florida. One day when I was about 14, we came across these awesome manatees swimming in the intercoastal. Obviously, we were too young to know that we should not have been swimming with them but, in hindsight, I'm so glad that we did. It was a lifetime experience that I've never had the opportunity to repeat.

Road trips are always nice - if you enjoy traveling by car. It's nice to take an extended vacation and be able to take the time to venture through several places on our way to our destination. Enjoy your trip.

Sounds like an amazing drive. I moved here recently from the Northeast and I will never go back to my "home". If you are still around the area, you should definitely check out Naples. Really special town as well as Palm Beach area. Make sure you get to the water; it's practically always warm enough to swim, especially on the Gulf coast.
