Blog Your Blessing: Easter Sunday

Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled

Let not your heart be troubled
Let not your soul be sad
Easter is a time of joy
When all hearts should be glad.

Glad to know that Jesus Christ
Made it possible for men
To have their sins forgiven
And, like Him, to live again.

So at this joyous season
May the wondrous Easter Story
Renew our Faith so we may be
Partakers of His Glory!

I love your post on Easter Sunday , especially the poem.

I am still amazed that there are a number of people who would argue that Jesus did not have to have a bodily resurrection or some even argue that Jesus’ death alone was enough, but we agree with Paul when he tells us that anything short of a bodily resurrection ignores the victory of God.

God does not want to just rescue people from this material world — God wants to restore all things. God CHOSE to send His son to die on the cross for OUR sins.

Jesus’ resurrection reminds us of three things

God has defeated death.
God has defeated evil.
God has begun His redemptive work.

Such a beautiful photo! This plant reminds me of one my grandmother kept alive for years and years. It was from the desert. That and the fact that it was hers made it the most magical thing in a flower pot!

Thanks for this and for the joyful Rice poem.

God bless your Easter.

@sandy-Believe it or not, it is (I think) a bromeliad. It was in the rain forest room at the arboretum.

@raphael-You just have to edit the HTML. For complete directions, see this post on another of my blogs: http://advertising-for-success.blogspot.com/2007/06/do-follow-and-new-blogger.html

Happy Easter!

OK this is a little late,
I might have been more timely,
But perhaps it is just my fate,
At least I got here finally!

I hope you had a happy Easter,
Mine was especially good.
In fact I wish all peace'der,
Of that I really would.

My life sometimes seems a mess,
But in times like this I find grounding.
I'm glad if you have no such stress,
For it is quite a pounding!

OK, I'm no poet :-) Happy BYBS!
