Blog Your Blessing : Solitude and Difficulty

. . . we must pass through solitude and difficulty, isolation and silence,
in order to reach forth to the enchanted place
where we can dance our clumsy dance and sing our sorrowful song--
but in this dance or in this song there are fulfilled
the most ancient rites of our conscience in the awareness of being human
and of believing in a common destiny.

Pablo Neruda Toward The Splendid City

This particular passage struck a chord with me. I have been so ill for so long that I have forgotten that it is our difficulties and our pain that makes us human. I await my turn to dance.

I am sorry you are unwell. I hope you are able to dance that dance again soon. You give so much and offer so much beauty so often. I hope that light comes back to shine on you.

Beautiful blessing, and I hope you feel better soonly! I am starting to feel that I have been sick forever too, but I suppose some goodness has come of it.

Oh my I do so understand about dealing with illness and isolation.

I have been dealing with it and fighting for a decade now.

It is very difficult some times to remember that all things happen for a reason. But, for the most part I have come to grips with my difficulties and always try to count my blessings!!

Blessings of peace to you and this was a wonderful post and quote!!:-)
